What Am I Doing Here?

By LaRon Tripp

Well, its been an overwhelming first two weeks; Downline is going to be a journey to say the least. Even still, I am motivated to endure the task that God has set before me through receiving such a unique intake of rich knowledge from a sound community, teachers, mistakes and from God himself. I suppose it can be said that it wont be an easy nine months but I am surely on board to be refined by the Lord through nine months of growth, whatever that looks like. I trust that it is God who brought me here in order that I may grow in his image.

I am looking forward to the last day of Downline in order that I can look back and see the development and maturity that has taken place in each Emerging Leader. It truly is a blessing to be a part of what God is doing not only in Memphis but in the hearts of men and women across the globe that invest in eternal maturation. How liberating it is to serve a God with a vision of growth for HIS kingdom and for the hearts of all mankind. I say this because I am looking forward to the daily process of growth; though it may look different for each person in the Downline program, it is inevitable.
So often you hear the adage “bloom where you are planted”, no one really goes into detail as to what that means or what the process is. For forty men and women the soil God has placed us in is Memphis, TN and boy will it be an exhilarating process! I want to encourage all the Emerging Leaders in the 2014- 2015 class to trust in the process of growth though it may not be all sunshine and rainbows it is more than worth it being that it was the one true God who has planted you in this beautiful place. Ultimately it is all for the glory of GOD.
