Jeff Howard
Housing Manager
Jeffrey is originally from Harlan, KY where he was born and raised. He moved to Memphis to take part in the Emerging Leaders program in 2009, and has joined the DL team with the title of Ministry Assistant. His main focus is taking care of the housing needs for EL students, and is in charge of all special projects.
He met his beautiful wife, Christina, while both in Emerging Leaders, and they were married in May of 2010. She has not only had the privilege of taking part in DownLine, but also the Memphis Teacher Residency Program. She recently received her Master’s Degree and gained the skills needed to succeed in her first year of teaching 2nd grade at Promise Academy, a charter school in North Memphis.
He is currently enrolled in Memphis Center for Urban and Theological Studies, and is studying to get his degree in Biblical Counseling in aspiration to help at-risk youth and drug addicted men and women by introducing them to our Savior. He volunteers at Youth Villages, a boys home, where he leads chapel services once a week and has a mentee, James, who he gets one on one time with each week. He also serves with Teen Challenge, a drug rehabilitation center in downtown Memphis, where he leads chapels and holds small group meetings to help men get their lives back on track.
Jeffrey is amazed at the work God is doing in his life, and is thrilled to be a part of what He is doing here in Memphis. The Great Commission has changed his life, and he is honored to serve next to the men and women who make DownLine possible.
