Jamie Trussell

Director of the Emerging Leaders Program

Jamie was born in Auburn, AL and remained in his beloved hometown for college.  At Auburn University, he earned a bachelor's degree in English-Literature and then proceeded to do post-graduate studies at Dallas Theological Seminary.  Jamie lived in the Dallas/Ft. Worth area for three years and was privileged to spend a year studying under Tom Nelson at Denton Bible Church and working with a team of great friends at Booster Enterprises.  Upon graduating Dallas Seminary, Jamie moved to Memphis where he worked for Memphis Athletic Ministries before coming on staff at DownLine.  He currently directs the Emerging Leader program at DownLine with Brad Laws while also serving as the interim pastor of Christ Community Church in Hernando, MS.

Jamie enjoys anything Auburn, especially football, and he has a sister who is married and lives in Auburn with her husband and three kids: Allen, Langston and Mary Chapman. Favorite things to do with free time? Watching Auburn highlights, reading, traveling and talking trash to Brad.

A note from Jamie: Working with the Emerging Leaders is one of the great joys of my life, and I remain grateful and thankful for all my supporters that make this possible. I truly believe that the restoration of Biblical Discipleship in and through the Local Church is the most effective way to get the gospel to the ends of the earth and I would cherish your prayers unto that end. Grace and Peace.
